The Stow-Munroe Falls Lions recently concluded our Safety Bucket project for the Stow Munroe Falls Schools. On Friday October 25th, the Lions and many members of the community came together to pack and deliver over 400 safety bucketes to each of our schools.
The Stow Munroe Falls Lions would like to thank everyone that participated in this very important project. For more information on the Safety Bucket Project, email us at email@example.com
Secret Santa made 12 unexpected visits in 2012 year in Stow and Munroe Falls.
The Stow Munroe Falls Lions, in cooperation with Wal*Mart in Stow, provided a little relief to 12 randomly picked customers who had Christmas presents on layaway. With the Manager's assistance, following the guidelines set by our Lion's Club, recipients were chosen because of their residency in either Stow or Munroe Falls and also the fact that their layaway items consisted of presents for children only. Wal*Mart then selected the final twelve families and advised them of the contribution from the Lion's Club when layaway items were picked up. Thank you to the Management Team at Wal*Mart for their cooperation on this program.
In partnership with the Red Cross, the Stow Munroe Falls Lions sponsor local blood drives. The next blood drive is March 7, 2017 at Holy Family Church on Kent Road. The hours are from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the lower hall.

Your Lions have provided a total of 352 free eye screenings.
The Stow-Munroe Falls Lions Club recently served the community by providing free eye screening to 125 pre-kindergarteners and kindergarteners in the Stow Munroe Falls area. In addition, the club has provided testing in surrounding communities. This project was adopted by the Stow Munroe Falls Lions as another way to serve our the communities and fulfills our mission to prevent blindness.. The process is of tremendous value because it helps to identify serious eye conditions in children while medical treatment is most effective at avoiding significant sight impairment and blindness. The eye screening process was completed using a Welch Allyn SureSight Vision Screener – testing for common vision problems, astigmatism, and anisometropia (unequal power between eyes). A second test was conducted to detect signs of stereopsis, or as the kids called it, the smiley face test.
For more information on the eye screening program, contact Dave Harlow at 330-688-6520 or email Dave at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Lions prepare for the children to arrive for the testing.

Bulldog Bags Inc.
Since 2015 Stow MF Lions Club has been involved in a new community program initiated. Bulldog Bags is a weekend food program for children in the Stow Munroe Falls School District. We want students to show up Monday morning hungry for learning not hungry for food.
Last Friday, January 27, 2017 we celebrated Year 1 of packing Bulldog Bags. We packed and delivered 4215 bags containing an average of 10 items per bag (including personal care items). We started originally with the 6 elementary buildings and added Lakeview Intermediate in August, 2016.
Bulldog Bags welcomes community involvement through donations from groups, organizations, and individuals.
Our Lions’ Club has donated money and volunteer time from our members to pack and deliver the food bags to the schools.
